Winter Sunrise
A nine-minute slow video to watch for no reason other than to enjoy it – perhaps to let the calm outside invite a calm within.
The view is over Manresa's meadow which, in January, is recovering from its October mowing. The central path of the labyrinth points east, looking towards Howth Head - Binn Éadair - just visible to the left. The tidal lagoon lies between Clontarf Road and the Bull Island and is the wintering site for throngs of migratory birds as the sun rises over Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea. In this video, two skeins of light-bellied East Canadian High Arctic Brent Geese make their way to their daytime grazing from their roost.
