Build in Hope, Plant in Faith
We hope that this day will help us to open our eyes again to wonder at the creation of which we are a part. If you are happy to spend time outdoors, the forest bathing experiences will take you to nearby Saint Anne's Park or you will find plenty to engage you in Manresa's grounds with its paths, trees and labyrinth.
Should you prefer to sit indoors or out, ideas to help your nature journalling will be offered. There will be time to wonder, muse and consider suggestions made on the day or you might choose from an available text to prompt your reflection or prayer.
After you register for this day, we will ask you to let us know if you would like to be included in one of the forest bathing groups – there will be one in the morning and one in the afternoon. An introduction to the labyrinth may help you to use another opportunity on offer.
Among the options offered on this day will be:
- join a group for forest bathing
- read and re-reading chosen passages of scripture
- quietly consider a selections from Laudato Si’
- walk the Native Tree Trail in Saint Anne’s Park
- take some time with a nature poem
- tree-planting in Manresa’s grounds
- a guided walk of Manresa’s Labyrinth
- Mass of 13 Sunday in Ordinary Time
The day will be facilitated by Joyce Fitzpatrick, Rosalinde Schut and Piaras Jackson SJ.
